Our Principal Attorney

Wilton H. Strickland, the firm's founder, is an experienced attorney with a diverse legal background. Raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, he attended the College of William and Mary in Virginia, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996. Afterward, he attended the University of Virginia School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2000 and becoming a member of the Virginia Journal of International Law, submissions review board. While in law school, he also participated in the Jessup International Law Moot Court competition as a competitor and coach.

Upon graduation, Wilton returned to Florida and practiced litigation in various areas such as commercial disputes, international matters, premises liability, products liability, contracts, property, and constitutional law. In 2010, he moved to Missoula, Montana, focusing on insurance defense, insurance coverage, and bad faith. Ultimately, he established his firm in 2013, continuing his dedication to excellent legal services.

Wilton has also represented the Montana Bar as a member of a delegation of attorneys who traveled to Cuba in February 2013 to analyze the Cuban legal system and to improve relations between the two countries. Furthermore, he frequently serves as a judge for the Jessup Moot Court Competition, which focuses on international law and draws competitors from law schools worldwide. Wilton's proficiency in Spanish and his interest in chess have allowed him to connect with diverse clients and communities, further enriching his legal practice.
