Our Fraud Prevention Unit specializes in investigating and prosecuting fraud cases, including insurance fraud, financial fraud, and other types of criminal fraud. Our Elder Abuse Unit provides specialized support and resources for elder abuse victims, including counseling, advocacy, and compensation.
Our Cold Case Taskforce is dedicated to solving cold cases, working with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to investigate and prosecute crimes that have gone unsolved for years. Meet Our Team
Our team of experienced prosecutors, investigators, and support staff is dedicated to upholding the law and ensuring justice is served. Our District Attorney, Vern Pierson, has over 28 years of experience as a prosecutor and has served in various capacities, including as a Deputy District Attorney, Deputy Attorney General, and Chief Assistant District Attorney. Vern is also the President of the California District Attorneys Association and has written extensively on criminal law and procedure.
