I signed a contract in November for the purchase of a new construction home, and from that point on, it was absolute hell. The sellers were shady, dishonest, and kept getting caught in lies, which caused constant delays. We had four different closing dates. I wont even get into all the nonsense they pulled, but what made it worse was that my attorney at the time (NOT H & S Law Group) was doing nothing to protect me or help me. It honestly felt like he was working for the sellers, not for me.
By Thursday, 2/12/26, I felt completely defeated. I had put down a significant amount of money, the sellers were a nightmare, and I felt stuck in a deal I resented. In that moment, I Googled Parsippany lawyers, hit the green phone icon next to a name, and made the call. That call was the best thing I could have done for myself.
My call was answered by a kind receptionist, who said, instead of having to repeat yourself, I am going to put you on directly with one of our attorney's. Thats when I first spoke to Eric Hausman.
He was calm, incredibly sharp, and actually listened to me vent for at least a half hour without rushing me. After hearing everything, he clearly explained my options and laid out exactly how we would move forward. His fee was absolutely reasonable.
Once he came on board, he immediately caught major issues my prior attorney had completely missed , including one huge issue that could have resulted in significant financial penalties for me. He made sure it was properly handled and protected me from what could have been a very costly mistake.
He also got my mortgage company to waive all of the rate lock fees I was being charged due to the sellers delays.
I called him on Thursday 2/12/26. We closed on 2/18/26. Less than a week. That alone says everything.
His office is beautiful, everyone there was professional and friendly, and the entire experience was seamless. I cannot say enough great things about Eric. He truly saved me and made it possible to close on a house that I had completely grown to resent because of how awful the process had been.
I own my own business and have unfortunately had to hire lawyers on numerous occasions , and Ive had nightmare experiences. Eric is different. He is honest, responsive, strategic, and genuinely protective of his clients.

When my mother needed a lawyer to handle a complicated family matter we were referred to Joseph.
