Law Firm Issues
Scotty Gravning's experience with the Hillsboro Law Group was a disastrous one. He had issues with James D. Burian, who stole over a million dollars from his elderly clients, and then lied to Gravning about his father's estate. Gravning also had a negative experience with John Anden from the Oregon State Bar, who lied to him about his work for Hillsboro Law Group. He suspects the Oregon State Bar is corrupt and only looks out for its own interests.
On the other hand, there are glowing reviews from several clients. Mark Ditton, Peggy Baran, Mani Homayoun, Min Liang, Daman Khaira, and Nicole Degoma all had excellent experiences with Peter Tovey, an attorney at Hillsboro Law Group. They praised his professionalism, expertise, and communication skills, and would highly recommend him to others.
Corrupted Practice
According to Gravning's review, James D. Berrien was disbarred for stealing from his clients and mismanaging their finances. Berrien was also accused of charging and collecting exorbitant fees, failing to keep clients informed about their cases, and engaging in dishonest conduct.
