Meet the Lawyer
At the helm of our law firm is Dirk W. Widdowson, Esquire, who has been practicing law in Salisbury since 1979. Dirk graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Honors in 1976. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1979. Dirk is a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore and has been dedicated to serving the community throughout his illustrious career.
Meet Our Staff
Our team is comprised of highly skilled and experienced professionals, including Cary E. Sove, our Administrative Legal Assistant, and Susanne W. Gregory, our Legal Assistant. Cary brings her expertise in paralegal studies and accounting to her role, while Susanne brings her extensive experience in stenography, paralegal, and secretarial studies. Both Cary and Susanne are dedicated to providing exceptional support to our attorneys and clients.
Our History
Our story began in 1979 when Dirk W. Widdowson established his solo practice in Salisbury, Maryland. In 1991, Russell C. Dashiell, Jr. joined the practice, and the firm became Widdowson and Dashiell, P.A. After more than 45 years of dedicated service, Russell C. Dashiell fully retired from the practice of law in September 2020.
