Our team provides expert and driven family law counsel in close partnership with our clients. Led by veteran trial attorney Greg Herring, who has practiced in a wide variety of state and federal courts throughout California and in other states, we employ top staff in support. Ruston Imming, certified as a Family Law Specialist by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California, is known for analyzing, developing, and executing effective case strategies. Together, Greg and Ruston routinely guide complex property characterization and valuation, "family enterprise, " and income disputes. We settle the vast majority of our cases due to our early planning and courtroom reputations. We take our profession seriously, and our clients enjoy the rewards.

False Accusations and Constitutional Violations
Stephen James shares a disturbing account of being falsely accused of child molestation and abuse by Mr. Herring, who conspired with his attorney, Richard Taylor, to seal the case without his consent. This led to the violation of his constitutional rights, damage to his career as an anesthesiologist, and severe financial burden.
Redemption and Personal Growth
James recounts how he overcame his ordeal by completing a psychiatry residency at Dartmouth and establishing a successful practice, focusing on treating adult survivors of childhood abuse. He is currently helping active military members heal from trauma.
Writing a Book About the Experience
James is writing a book about his experiences with Mr. Herring and Mr. Taylor, detailing the gap between the "reality" presented in court and the actual truth that has unfolded over the past 15 years.

James recalls that when he tried to have Mr. Herring's allegations investigated by the District Attorney's office, Mr. Herring argued that an investigation would traumatize his daughters, and the judge ultimately blocked the investigation, placing James at risk if he were to do the same.
