Our Services

As the Prosecuting Attorney, my office is responsible for bringing cases on behalf of the government. Our primary focus is on ensuring justice is served for the victims of crimes. We work tirelessly to address various types of crimes, including those involving children, drug-related offenses, and other serious crimes. Our goal is to not only secure convictions but also to support the victims throughout the legal process.

About Ben

Miller County has been home to the Winfrey family for four generations. I was raised on my family's farm in Brumley and attended school at Iberia. After completing my education, I practiced law in the Kansas City office of Bryan Cave, LLP and later joined the Jackson County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney's Office. In 2014, I returned to Miller County and was elected Miller County Prosecuting Attorney. As Prosecutor, I focus on cases involving victims, especially crimes involving children, and work to address drug addiction through rehabilitation centers and drug treatment courts.
