Our History

Since 1944, the Becnel name has been synonymous with expert legal representation in the River Parishes, Southeast Louisiana, and the Greater New Orleans area. Our attorneys, Daniel "Becket" Becnel and Kathryn W. Becnel, have made practicing law their life's work, dedicated to representing the needs of injured clients or those seeking justice in criminal matters.

Our Attorneys

Daniel "Becket" Becnel, born in Baton Rouge and raised in the River Parishes and the New Orleans area, graduated from St. Martin's Episcopal School and Tulane University. He attended Tulane and Loyola University Schools of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. Becket has been a member of the River Parishes Indigent Defender Board and was elected President of the River Parish Young Lawyers.

Kathryn W. Becnel, a dedicated attorney with a strong passion for justice, has extensive experience in handling various legal matters including auto accidents, criminal defense, and medical malpractice. She has a proven track record of successfully negotiating countless settlements for her clients and is committed to providing personalized attention to each case.
