Who We Are

The Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference is a vital component of Tennessee's judicial system. Established in 1961, the Conference empowers and supports the 32 District Attorneys General across the state. Led by Executive Director Stephen D. Crump and a dedicated team, we work to ensure that justice is served efficiently and effectively in Tennessee communities.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to equip, support, and advocate for District Attorneys General as they work to:

• Champion victim's rights: We support victim-centered initiatives and empower survivors through specialized training and resources.
• Safeguard the criminal justice process: We work to ensure fair and efficient prosecution, promoting transparency and accountability.
• Promote community safety: Through data-driven analysis and strategic initiatives, we tackle crime and enhance public safety across Tennessee.

What We Do

The Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference engages in various activities to fulfill our mission:

• Management & Support: We manage the fiscal, personnel, property, IT, and training needs of District Attorney offices.
• Legislative Advocacy: We liaison between District Attorneys General and legislative bodies to ensure their voices are heard on critical issues.
• Professional Development: We offer training programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance the skills and expertise of District Attorneys General and their teams.
• Research & Publications: We conduct research and publish reports on important legal and policy issues facing Tennessee.
• Community Outreach: We partner with stakeholders and communities to address local challenges and promote public awareness.
