Mr. Roberts earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Atlanta Law School in 1977 and his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Georgia State University in 1973. Personal Background

In his personal life, Mr. Roberts is a lifelong Georgia resident and resides in Decatur, Georgia, where he grew up. He is married and has one grown child. Mr. Roberts is an avid reader and world traveler, with a passion for adventure. He has traveled to various parts of the world, including Africa, where he scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak at 19,350 feet. He has also sky-dived and paraglided in New Zealand, hiked and biked in Costa Rica, and explored volcanoes and caves. A dedicated community leader, Mr. Roberts has served on the School Board for the City Schools of Decatur and worked with youth as a baseball coach. He has also participated in the People to People Program, touring Latin America and Cuba as a goodwill ambassador.
