Our office is led by Steven L. Ward, a seasoned attorney with over 25 years of legal experience. Steve was raised in Anoka, Minnesota, and graduated from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science. During his time at St. John's, Steve was a teacher of American History and Government, as well as a coach for football, basketball, and golf at Hill-Murray High School in St. Paul, Minnesota. Steve also served as Assistant Bank Manager and Credit Officer at the Arizona Bank in Phoenix, Arizona, before entering law school in 1982.

Steve completed his legal education at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1985. Since then, he has been practicing law in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and has built a reputation as a skilled, knowledgeable, and approachable attorney. Steve is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Minnesota State Bar Association, First Judicial District Bar Association, Real Property and Agricultural Law Sections of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and Qualified Neutral on Minnesota Statewide Roster under Rule 114 of Minnesota Rule of General Practice.

Steve has been involved in leadership roles for a variety of organizations, including serving as a former member of the Board of Directors of the St. John's University J-Club, past President of the St. John's University J-Club, former member of the Board of Directors of the Hutchinson Area Chamber of Commerce, former member of the Church of St. Anastasia Educational Endowment Committee and Tuition Grant Fund Committee, former member of the Litchfield High School Site-Based Committee, former member of the City of Andover Planning and Zoning Commission, volunteer for the American Cancer Society, volunteer for the St. John's University STAR Program, and former Chair of the Community Affairs Task Force and Finance Task Force of the Hutchinson Area Chamber of Commerce.

Steve has also been actively involved with the youth of the Hutchinson area, spending thousands of hours as a volunteer girls and boys youth basketball coach, volunteer youth baseball coach, and cable television broadcaster for the Hutchinson High School boys' varsity basketball games.
